Calista is our compact cutie. She is a dark fading fawn with black points out of the well know 4Peruvian Black Magic. She has a small frame with a lovely head and good conformation.

Calista is an attentive mother with an excellent production record. She has easily given birth to 4 females and 4 males, in a variety of colors: true black, beige, medium brown, fawn, and after shearing, her 2004 cria was a dark rose grey! Calista’s cria have inherited their dam’s easygoing nature, good conformation, and lovely fleece characteristics. Calista has excellent milk production, and all her cria have exceeded her in their size and stature.

In early September, Calista gave birth to her eigth cria,  a beautiful dark fawn(?) male. He was 19.2 lbs.  He has a great fleece, an engaging personality, and this little guy has presence!

A breeding to Spirit Song Pasha is included in Calista's price.

Calista's Cria

We have always been impressed with the colorful expressions of Calista's cria; ranging in color from beige to black. We have bred her to three different black males, and only once did she give birth to a black cria, and that was her first baby, Spirit Song Laiyelah, the other two cria were Sabrina Fair who looks like a carbon copy of her mother and Spirit Song Enjoy the Journey, a beautiful light fawn who is now our newest addition to our herdsires. Calista second cria, Spirit Song Aleeyah, is a beige female out of 5Peruvian Iceman. Calista was bred twice to Dom Savone and produced a dark rose grey male, Spirit Song Sekani, who won several awards in the performance class and a lovely milk chocolate female, Spirit Song Buffalo Girl, whose first cria is a True Black Reserve Champion. No matter what the color of Calista's cria, they always have inherited something of her charming personality.
