Due Date: Early August, 2009 Service Sire: Dom Savone
Laiyelah is a compact
alpaca who has nice proportions, a lovely head, heavy bones, and a
gorgeous black fleece. Although Laiyelah is one of our smaller females,
she is one of our best fleece producers. Her fleece has a wonderful
handle with excellent staple length. At the Great Midwest Alpaca
Festival her fleece came in 3rd behind two Magical Farm's herdsires in
a class of six. At the 2005 Midwest Alpaca Jamboree, Laiyelah's fleece
placed second and her beautiful fleece received 9 out of 10 points for
brightness and all 7 points for staple length! At seven years old,
Laiyelah was still winning ribbons and placing above younger alpacas.
In
addition to Laiyelah's physical attributes, she is quite the charmer.
She has captured the eye of a newspaper photographer and her picture
was featured in the Minneapolis Star Tribune. She is one of our more
curious alpacas who is often intrigued by the visitors that come to our
farm.
Laiyelah is an excellent mother who has produced two
beautiful grey boys out of Dom Savone. Her first son, Spirit Song
Vivaldi won Reserve Color Champion at the Midwest Alpaca Jamboree and
was sold to Silver Sun Alpacas in California as a herdsire. Her second cria is Spirit
Song Daunte (SOLD) has won several awards for his beautiful silver grey
fleece. Laiyelah only daughter is Serenah, a beautiful black female out
of Strider of the Shire. She is a confident and curious cria with dense
crimpy fiber. At the MN Alpaca Expo, Serenah placed 2nd in the True
Black Juvenile Females and at the IAOBA Riverside Alpaca Fest she
placed 2nd in the True Black Juvenile Females (class of 12)!
